About us

The violinist Arabela de Miguel Robledo and the pianist Claudia Fernández Parrondo crossed paths at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel. As a result, they decided to build a space for musical expression where they could transfer their complicity to performance. This is how Ebenum Duo was born, with the aim of giving the audience the opportunity to experience an honest, sincere and personal connection through the essence of the composer.

One of its main interests is to provide the group with a wide stylistic range, from historical interpretation to the adaptation of new techniques through contemporary repertoire. In the same way, as a result of the desire to connect with the public, Ebenum Duo seeks flexibility in its artistic expression to offer new concert formats combining visual arts with philosophy and searching for an own form of artistic expression.

Since its recent formation, they have had the opportunity to participate in several masterclasses with musicians as Heime Müller and Erich Höbarth and to present their work in various circles of concerts and competitions such as “Mimiko” (Basel), “Concurso Internacional de Música de Arnuero” (Spain), “Promenois“ (France) and “Jardí dels Tarongers” (Barcelona).

They are currently continuing their chamber music studies with Anton Kernjak and Anna Gebert, while working regularly with musicians such as Tobias Schabenberger, Raphaël Oleg, Geneviève Strosser and Zoltán Fejérvári.
