ETERNAL RECURRENCE
Eternal Recurrence’ is an artistic journey, a reflection on life and a sensory experience that draws directly from the homonymous concept that the philosopher Nietzsche develops in one of his most emblematic works: ‘Also sprach Zarathustra’. Everything is born and everything dies; everything ends and begins again; joy intertwines with sadness and pleasure becomes affliction. Everything is interconnected, day and night, life and death, and it is in this eternal cycle that the essence of our existence lies.
In our project, we intend to represent this strong thematic idea by emulating the cyclical course of a day through a play of lights, a carefully chosen repertoire and a theatrical character that guides a varied and heterogeneous audience to live the experience in first person. We want to bet on a new concert format, both artistically and scenically. The actor personifies the passage of time by reminding us of echoes of Nietzsche's words, poems and/or other texts on which some of the works are inspired and inviting the audience to an introspective and personal reflection.
